Types of driveway Stone
There are several types of stone available and each one has pros and cons.
We only use good quality materials. The goal is to not just fix your driveway. We want you to love your home and feel at home as soon as you pull your vehicle onto your property!
A rehabilitated driveway should feel like a good investment that will last several years!
The crew did a nice job of describing some different popular types of stone. But here are some real world pictures of those materials!
21 AA Limestone
It packs nearly as hard as concrete and makes a beautiful driveway!
Crushed asphalt is a great option. Being a recycled product it is often cheaper than other options.
Some people love the dark color and its packs very well lasting a long time.
Crushed natural stone is a great option for low sandy wet driveways.
Often times it looks like river rock after the rain has washed the dust off. It makes a great looking driveway and eliminates mud.
Slag stone is a personal favorite!
Its extremely dense and packs tightly. Yet water can drain through it keeping your driveway dry.
Its weight makes it less resistant to erosion.
We like that it does not get dusty in the summer or muddy in the spring!
21 AA Natural is crushed stone with a small amount of sandy "fines". The fines help lock the rocks together and pack tight.
Not to be confused with cheap road gravel. This has much more rock and is a longer lasting product.
Helvetica Light is an easy-to-read font, with tall and narrow letters, that works well on almost every site.
There are other types of material available. Top soil, compost, sand and clean washed limestone!
